Arlington Heights sets date for open house

Arlington Heights counts on a variety of professionals and equipment in its day-to-day operations, and a special event on an upcoming Saturday will provide a sneak peek into their work.

The village will be hosting a Community Open House Day featuring representatives of its police, public works, and fire departments. Intended for the whole family, it will be a hands-on experience.

The events will be running for four hours at the Public Works Facility, and will include a variety of law enforcement, first response, and other vehicles and equipment to explore, and there will also be live demonstrations and displays about everything from safe cycling and household fire safety to reducing water use. Police dogs will be on hand for a meet-and-greet with the crowd, and everyone can try on different types of gear and ask any questions they have.

Many communities organize open house activities to give locals a behind-the-scenes look into how different departments operate on a daily basis. A brochure printing company can prepare informational materials as well as full-color display items and promotional products to hand out during the proceedings.

The Village of Arlington Heights will be welcoming the public to its Open House at 222 N. Ridge Avenue on Saturday, October 18. Those interested can stop by at any time between 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
