Country Club supports mental health charity with family walk

Itasca Country Club is supporting the Alexian Brothers Foundation and AMITA Health with its annual 2020 Fall Family Fun Walk.

The walk will be a 2.62-mile stroll around the club’s scenic grounds. Fun stations will be located at intervals around the course, with activities for the whole family. This stroll will not be timed or competitive.

Since this year’s event has a fall theme, Halloween costumes are encouraged, fall photo opportunities will be numerous and there will be bounce houses for the children. Various vendors will be on site selling food and beverages. There will be a hole-in-one challenge and an axe-throwing demonstration.

The event costs $50 per person or $100 for families with six members or fewer. Pre-registration comes with swag bags and T-shirts featuring this year’s graphic design.

Arlington Heights guests must check in at the 2:00, 2:20, 2:40, or 3:00 pm timeslots before they can begin their strolls. This is to ensure all groups will be properly social distanced.

Proceeds from the event will go to support community members with essential mental health issues such as eating disorders, depression, and anxiety through AMITA Health programs located in the organization’s Hoffman Estates facilities.

The event will take place Sunday, October 25 at Itasca Country Club located at 400 East Orchard Street, Itasca.
