What's Happening in Arlington Heights, IL…

Arlington Heights welcomes Easter Bunny

Arlington Heights children can enjoy egg hunts and breakfast with the bunny between now and Easter.

The Historical Museum at 110 W. Freemont Street will host the Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13 from 10:00 am until 12:45 pm. The event will be for children 10 years old and younger. Colorful plastic eggs containing treats will be dotting the museum grounds. The hunt will take place from 10 until 10:40, after which everyone is invited to the Egg Dying Egg-stravaganza. Guests are to bring their own hard-boiled eggs and learn different ways to color them. From noon until 12:45 pm, a scavenger hunt will take hunters around the museum.

Also, the Arlington International Racecourse at 2200 Euclid Avenue will be holding its annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on April 20. From 9:00 am until 11:00 am, the Million Room will offer a buffet.

At 11:30 am, the venue will open for the free egg hunt, where over 30,000 eggs will be awaiting eager hunters. The hunt will be in three designated areas for three age groups – 0 to 3, 4 to 6,and 7 and up. Kids can come early, enjoy free pony rides in the Paddock, bounce in a bounce house and have photos taken with the Easter bunny. Parents that take their children to events such as this usually take the pictures to local stationery printers to be included in holiday cards and family calendars.
