What's Happening in Arlington Heights, IL…

Arlington Heights to go Irish

Later this month, the Arlington Heights Museum will be presenting its Irish Fest.

Irish music and dancing will be the focus of the evening’s entertainment. The audience will be invited to take part in singing the well-known Irish lilts played by ‘Cirrus Falcon’. ‘The Trinity Irish Dancers’, who have won the World Championship of Irish Dance 14 times, will then take the stage. Pictures taken of this group would surely make interesting subjects for later poster printing.

Other bands will be ‘One of the Girls’ and ‘Second Time Around’. Saturday’s lineup will be ‘McNulty Irish Dancers’, ‘Small Potatoes’, ‘Mulligan Stew’ and ‘Mike and Joe’.

Irish activities will include learning how to jig, a ceilidh (Irish folkdance) workshop, and a raffle. Children will have a Wee Folk Tent where they can enjoy games, face painting, balloon twisting, and indoor games.

Adult tickets will be $5. On Friday, children under the age of 15 will be free. However, on Saturday, tickets for children aged 3 to 14 will younger tots getting in free.
