Arlington Heights frolics at Frontier Days Festival
Arlington Heights Frontier Days will be five days of live music, a decorated bike parade and carnival rides.
After the annual 5K run/walk, 10K and Kids Dash Stampede, the annual Teen Battle of the Bands will kick off the event. Other entertainment will be Dennis Quaid and the Sharks, Bodeans, Lonestar, Tonic, and American English. Fans of these groups will be checking to see if the bands have any promotional products with them.
Food will be available in the main food pavilion. Here, everyone can enjoy hot dogs, Italian sausage and beef, onion rings, and the like. Five-day vendors will be Sweet Baby Ray’s and Grande Jakes. Then of course there will be Dessert Row.
There will be pony rides and a petting zoo, a Dog Frisbee Catch and Fetch and a K9 unit demonstration. Also on the list are baseball/softball and hockey skills events, soccer, Baggo and teen volleyball tournaments, and an inflatable obstacle course. Guests can also enjoy an arts and crafts marketplace, pie, chicken wing and rib eating contests, and BMX bike demonstration by a two-time United States National Champion.
Frontier Days will be from June 29 from 4:00 pm until midnight, June 30 from 8:30 am until midnight, July 1 from 7:30 am until 11:00 pm, July 2 from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm, July 3 from 5:00 pm until midnight, and July 4th from noon until 10:00 pm at Recreation Park, 500 East Miner.
