What's Happening in Arlington Heights, IL…

Arlington Heights children get two local egg hunts

Local children will have a couple of opportunities to attend egg hunts this year. They will be about a week apart, so kids will be able to attend both events.

The first event coming up will be the 3rd Annual Community Egg Hunt. Children 10 and under will be roaming the grounds collecting the brightly colored eggs. After this, there will be Easter-themed activities for the little ones. Registration of $5 per child is required, and this needs to be done no later than today, April 1.

Also, the Olympic Indoor Swim Center here in Arlington Heights will hold an evening Pool Egg Hunt toward the middle of the month. Kids will get to gather floating plastic eggs containing prizes, and bags will be provided. The Easter Bunny will be greeting the kids after the egg hunt. Parents may want to take pictures and may still have time to get them to a printing company for inclusion into this year’s holiday cards. The Center advises everyone to arrive early because the hunt will begin promptly.

The 3rd Annual Community Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 8 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Freemont Street, Arlington Heights.

The evening Pool Egg Hunt will be Friday, April 14 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Olympic Indoor Swim Center, 660 N. Ridge Ave here in Arlington Heights.
