Very soon, the drama club of Shelton High School will perform ‘Adaptations’. The annual show sees the classes put on a musical lasting half an hour each.
Joe Sedlock, adviser for the drama club, stated his excitement in seeing the show, which includes the school's talented students. Due to the number of students in the show (100 are in the production this year) many people from the school and community are part of the multiple teams of directors.
The class directors from last year are returning, one of whom is Justin Zenchuk, who works with the junior class. He said that the collaboration of everyone to make the show come together makes the show special. Senior Stephen Casinelli and Junior Melanie Byron are veterans of the performance and says they enjoy working with the same people each year.
The school has put on Adaptations for almost 20 years. The upcoming show has a list of musical favorites from Legally Blonde, Annie, The Wedding Singer, and Aladdin.
Shelton High School could have a banner made for the occasion, which can hang outside greeting the audience or can be hung up in the auditorium rafters while the show is going on.
Adaptations takes place this Friday and Saturday, January 15th and 16th, beginning at 7:00 pm each night. Tickets are $10 at the door.
