Shelton’s first hootenanny was so popular that they are doing it again. The Hunter’s Moon Hootenanny is the second annual event and features music from musicians just getting started, as well as seasoned performers.
The artists scheduled are Christina Meadows, Nathaniel Hintz, Dan Carlucci, and The Decker Bandit. Nick D’PEW will be hosting a fireside jam as well.
Christina Meadows is an emerging guitarist from Meriden, Connecticut, who has released an album, “Still Feeling Seventeen,” and is planning to release more work soon.
Singer/songwriter Nathaniel Hintz is from Connecticut and has been influenced by gospel, rock and roll, and country and western music. He has performed throughout the country and has taken his “Two Drinks” Tour to breweries on the East Coast.
Dan Carlucci is both a performer and music educator who is associated with the Fairfield School of Music in Fairfield, Connecticut. He is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who performs with the bands Massive Diva, and Hitch & the Giddyup, as well as a solo artist.
The Decker Bandits mix elements of jazz, jam, rock, and bluegrass with their songwriting and storytelling. Their musicianship, catchy tunes, and intriguing arrangements have been said to make their live shows, which often employ improvisations, exciting and fun.
Nick D’PEW, who goes by D’PEW, is an indie high concept performer who appeared at the CT Folk Fest.
The Hootenanny is set for October 4 at Shelton’s Holy Ghost Park. Events like this can benefit when organizers use poster printing to create colorful advertising for them.
