Food enthusiasts will have a special opportunity to sample several kinds of fare in Shelton this May, as a food truck festival is in the works in town.
The Food Trucks on the River 2026 Festival will cover two days, bringing together a range of food, live music, wine, and craft beer in a family-friendly setting that promotes the Shelton community and its businesses.
Organizers have secured commitments from over 25 food trucks for this year’s festival, providing plenty of options for patrons with palates seeking their next culinary foray. It is expected to be the largest food festival in the Naugatuck Valley, showcasing cuisines from around the globe. Food trucks and vendors can team up with printing services to create single-use and recyclable Menus for such events to share their options and their prices with potential customers.
The live music lineup will feature multiple local bands and artists to provide a light and entertaining environment. Local vendors will also have space to set up and share their wares with attendees with the opportunity to gain new customers.
Veterans Memorial Park in Shelton will host the food truck festival starting on Friday, May 29 at 5:00 PM, and continuing the following day, with a rain date of May 31 also set aside. Admission is free, though a $5 donation in support of community endeavors would be appreciated.
