Shelton’s popular concert series continues with four concerts as the series winds down.
The scheduled performers are The Alpaca Gnomes, The Bernadettes, Logical Pretzel, and The Kathy Thompson Band. All concerts are free and take place on Huntington Green at 7:00 pm.
The Alpaca Gnomes are a jam band based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who play folk-rock music. Their instrumentation includes electric guitars, percussion, sax, and violin that moves seamlessly among rock, jam-band improv, and Americana.
The Bernadettes specialize in dance music, as well as soul and R&B. They sometimes add an oldie, or a classic rock song to the mix, but they retain their focus on classic R&B. They cover the work of stars such as Aretha Franklin, the Temptations, and Marvin Gaye.
Next up is Logical Pretzel, an eight-piece band that first got together in 2017 to pay tribute to Steely Dan, performing the hits as well as diving deep into the entire catalogue.
The series winds up with The Kathy Thompson Band, which started with Kathy as a solo artist. She spent years learning her craft as a guitarist and singer and now has an eight-piece band backing her up.
The Alpaca Gnomes appear August 5, The Bernadettes follow on August 12, then it is Logical Pretzel’s turn on August 19, and finally, The Kathy Thompson Band plays on August 26. Posters, which event organizers can find at Print shops, are great products for advertising events like this.
