Its Slime Time in Shelton

A special fundraising event is coming up in Shelton.

Supporters of the United Special Education PTSA of Stratford will want to take part in an event in Shelton, a Slime Time fundraiser to be held at the Giggling Pig. Slime Time fundraisers are held throughout the country, and comprise gatherings where students choose whether staff members are saved or slimed. Participants place coins in one bucket to slime people or in another bucket to save them. All the money raised, of course, goes to the school or organization the event supports.

In this case, the recipient will be the PTSA of Stratford. A PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is a modification of the familiar PTA (Parent Teacher Association) that has been part of the educational landscape for decades. Many schools have transitioned their PTA organizations into PTSAs instead. PTSA allows parents to advocate for programs, stay connected to the school, support leadership opportunities and scholarships, and more.

Slime Time will be held January 2, from 6.00 pm until 7.30 pm, and drinks and snacks will be provided. A raffle is scheduled, and tickets are $1. Tickets are $25 each and attendance is limited to 25 people ages five and up, so anyone interested should make plans now. The Giggling Pig Art & Party Studio is located at 472 River Road in Shelton. Organizers can publicize events like this by using poster printing to create colorful advertisements.
