What's Happening in Shelton, CT…

Electronic data interchange and drop ship technology firm Logicbroker is hosting an inaugural running event called Run 4 Suds in Shelton.

The Corporate run is four kilometers long and the walk is one mile. Both start at the Scinto Towers and follow the same course. The one-mile race is one lap around the tower circle, while the 4K is two laps. Participants can walk or run both races. The 4K is timed electronically, while the one-mile walk is not.

The races start in the evening so participants can prepare for the event after work. They can run in teams, with their coworkers, or by themselves. There will be eight age groups of each gender for the 4K. The three best times of the 16 groups will win awards.

Registration for both runs are $30 for participants 21 and older and $25 for those under 21, if done before June 24. After that date, the price increases by $5. Fees include free food and beverages, a shirt, and alcohol for participants 21 or over with valid identification. The robotics team at Shelton High School and the local volunteer fire departments will benefit from the proceeds of these races. Donations outside the racing event are also welcome.

Run 4 Suds is on June 25 starting at 6:15 pm. Banner printing helps runners find the location and stopping points of a race.
