An event that is now a tradition is once again on the schedule in Shelton.
The Vintage Vehicles Antique and Classic Car Show is held on Father’s Day every year, and attracts classic vehicle fans from across the area. Everyone is invited to exhibit their favorite vehicle, or can simply attend to see the others on display. They will be able to visit a number of muscle cars, trucks, classic cars, antique vehicles, and more. Many of the vehicles belong to Shelton residents, and past participants include a classic milk delivery van and a vintage tractor.
Visitors are welcome to examine the vehicles closely, as the hoods will be raised and the doors open. People are also encouraged to vote for the vehicles they like best, and refreshments will be available for purchase at the event. Organizers of this type of event can make it more fun for everyone by using flyer printing to create handouts identifying the exhibits.
The Vintage Vehicles will be displayed on June 19, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, at the Shelton History Center Connecticut, on Ripton Road in Shelton. Since the event takes place on Father’s Day, dads pay only $1 for admission. Individual admission is $5, while a family admission (for four) is $10. There is a small fee for those who wish to exhibit their vehicles. Funds raised at the event go to support Shelton Historical Society’s programs.
