Tech Training Solutions in Shelton will soon offer a month-long course about programming language Ruby on Rails.
An instructor will teach Ruby on Rails Development Training and assist students rather than a computer program. The course consists of eight classes two hours long. Class will meet twice a week for a total of 16 credit hours. The course is hands-on, interactive, and presented in English.
During the course, students will study programming through AJAX in the software and peruse the application from the view of the server through the Model-view-Controller structure. By the end of the course, students will understand the fundamentals of Ruby, be able to install and customize use of the Rails and Ruby software, build applications that are data accurate, and perform tests on what they have developed in the software.
Registration is $500 now that the early bird $400 offer has passed. Interested parties can register on Eventbrite. The handouts for the labs and teaching each class, training materials, and online access to other resources will be provided. The curriculum includes real-life examples of script, code, and situations. Print shops create training materials for courses and can copy the materials to order.
Students should have some prior knowledge of computers, and experience of another programming code such as JavaScript or HTML is useful, but not a requirement.
Class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 5 to 28 from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
