Shelton recognizing women with mimosas

Celebrate Shelton is working with Adam’s House to host its yearly event Mamas and Mimosas.

This is the second year of the event, which honors women in the community. Around 20 vendors in the state that specialize in handmade items will create a unique shopping experience for those attending. Items for sale will include desserts, jewelry, fashion, and baby items.

There will also be interactive workshops. Shanna Esposito Harris and Kenyetta Hayes of Indigo Moon Creative Therapies will teach Guided Sound Meditation and Essential Oils. Counselor and art therapist Caitlin Iannucci will teach Soul Collage twice during the afternoon. Dr. Lori Monaco will also lead a workshop on self-care.

Lee-Ann Lovelace and Billy Bileca will provide live music. L Bellissima Spa will offer brow tinting for $15, mini manicures for $8, and chair massages at $1 per minute. Sally Russo will provide tarot readings. Finally, coffee and mimosas will be provided.

Single tickets are $10 and a group of four is $30. Adam’s House is located at 241 Coram Avenue. Guests can park at Adam's House or in the local neighborhood.

Since 2014, Celebrate Shelton has been a free family friendly series of events to highlight local businesses and recognize the surrounding community. Adam’s House and The Adam Wysota Foundation provide programs and a safe supportive environment for grieving individuals to heal.

Mamas and Mimosas will take place on October 3 from 10am-2pm.
