Celebrate Shelton is hosting the Summer Solstice Edition of Food Trucks in the River at Veteran's Memorial Park next month.
The event is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 to offset costs for the organizers and to benefit the Shelton nonprofit LivFree. Similar to the Make a Wish Foundation, LivFree is entirely operated by Shelton residents and offers children with cancer a chance to escape through an event of their choosing.
Patients in the pediatric ward can attend a sports game, go to a thrill park, see their favorite band in concert, and more. The goal is for children to spend time having fun with their family and take a vacation from the medical facility.
The New England Brewing Company will set up a beer garden and several bands will perform live music. There will also be an obstacle course and a bounce house for kids to ensure all ages are entertained.
Some of the food trucks signed up to be at the event include Poke Motion, Cinnamon Churros, and Crazy Taco-Mex. Renewal by Anderson will have a booth for those interested in window services. Star 99.9FM, Tuttle Insurance Group, and the New England Brewing Company are sponsoring the event.
Food Trucks in the River will be on June 19 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. If it rains, the event will be rescheduled to June 26. Veteran’s Memorial Park is located at 38 Canal Street. Logo Design is often essential for food trucks at events like this.
