Health and technology company Saisystems International recently received a prestigious award at a banquet.
The Annual Holiday Breakfast and Awards Celebration of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce took place at the end of the year. It named Saisystems as the Innovator of the Year for 2017.
The Shelton company turned 30 this year and used the anniversary to renew the brand. According Dr. Ramesh Wadhwani, the president and CEO of Saisystems International, the company is honored to receive the award since, and it was flattering that they were even nominated.
Colleagues from the area watched Dr. Wadhwani receive the award and talk about integrity and effort. He noted that Saisystems International plans to carry the hard work into 2018.
Each year, the award goes to businesses that pave the way for new methods in business models, services, processes, products, and ideas. The likes of Thule Group and PerkinElmer have won the award in the past.
Bill Purcell, president of the Chamber of Commerce, expressed pride in giving Saisystems International the award as he said it has displayed innovation since its origin.
