Popular event returns to Shelton area

A much anticipated event is coming back to the Shelton area, bringing great craft beers with it.

Bad Sons Beer Company, along with Smoke in the Valley, presents the Brewers Ball – Home Brew Festival at Bad Sons Beer in Derby, a short distance from Shelton. There will be more than 60 beers for attendees to sample, as well as a People’s Choice Competition. Games, selected vendors, and food trucks will also be on hand to make the festival complete. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts listing participants at events like this.

Bad Sons constantly experiments with its beers, refining recipes to develop craft beers the team would enjoy drinking themselves. While listening to feedback from customers and combining this with their own insights, the brewers use this information to offer more styles.

With a heavy focus on New England and East Coast type ales, among Bad Sons’ offerings are Big Whoop and Light Rider. Big Whoop is a Double IPA (India pale ale) brewed with Amarillo and Mosaic hops to add flavors of stone fruit, balanced against a grapefruit background. Light Rider, meanwhile, is an American lager brewed with German hops that has won a gold medal.

The date of the festival is July 17 from 12:00 noon until 4.00 pm, and the ticket includes festival admission, unlimited samples, a souvenir cup for tasting, and a ballot for people to use to vote for their favorite brew.
