Music jam near Shelton

Three bands will rock the region at a concert in Milford, a short distance from Shelton.

For more than four hours, three bands will be “Jammin’ at the Farm,” which is the Testo Family Farm. The three bands that are planning to rock the farm are Red Planet, Live at the Fillmore, and the CT Grateful Dead All Star Band.

Red Planet is a straight-ahead jam band that plays classic songs from The Band, Bob Dylan, the Grateful Dead and other rock legends, and country stars like Johnny Cash, and other Americana standards. The band is friendly and laid back, but solid musicians who offer vocal harmony, great guitar work, and tightly woven instrumental playing.

Live at the Fillmore is a tribute for the Allman Brothers Band, playing the songs from the early days before the group lost several members, and when they did indeed play at the Fillmore East. They recorded “Live at the Fillmore” in 1971 and Rolling Stone Magazine lists the album at #49 on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The CT Grateful Dead All Star Band recaptures the excitement and music of a Grateful Dead concert, with jam music and high energy that is sure to appeal to the newbie as well as the committed Deadhead.

The jam is set for August 14, from 5:30 pm until 10:00 pm. Banner printing can be used to create colorful decorations for outdoor events like this.
