A conference that promises to be as much fun as it is magical is scheduled in Shelton.
The New England Magicians Conference, NEMCON 41, will be held at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton soon. The event is the premier magic conference in New England, and offers two full days of fun. People who register for the weekend will be given access to a dealers’ room packed with vendors; three detailed lectures by world-class experts; a Special Evening with Eric Dittelman; a lecture by Blaise Serra and a close-up jam session; a show of close-up magic; and a Stars of Magic evening show. Conferences such as this, no matter the particular field, give attendees a great opportunity to exchange Business Cards.
Eric Dittelman has an unusual and entertaining approach—he combines mind reading with improv and stand-up comedy. He was a finalist on “America’s Got Talent,” and has appeared on “Penn & Teller: Fool Us”, “Live with Kelly and Ryan”, and “Ellen”. He has also gotten positive mentions in The National Enquirer, Rolling Stone, and Entertainment Weekly.
Blaise Serra specializes in sleight-of-hand magic, which he performs using only one hand. In addition to Eric Dittelman and Blaise Serra, the lineup of entertainers includes Stuart McDonald, Kyle Littleton, Keith Fields & Lady Sarah, and Matt Roberts. There is also a silent auction scheduled, with benefits going to the Tom Prete Scholarship.
