"Murder is a Family Business" by AspenDream Productions will take place on March 19 in Seymour north of Shelton.
The interactive fundraiser and murder mystery hosted by Emmett O'Brien Grid Iron Club will start at 6:30pm at 312 Roosevelt Drive, the Villa Bianca. Tickets are $50 and include a dinner consisting of three courses. Dinner will start an hour after the doors open.
According to Burlington's Janice Luise-Lutkus, AspenDream Productions Executive Director, guests start having fun as soon as they come in the room. They will have dinner, dance, and solve the mystery for the complete entertainment package. This is the 19th year for AspenDream Productions. It is considered the dinner theater that has been running the longest in the state. The New England area who have seen it have enjoyed it.
The story is about family mob boss Uncle Franco and Stella, his ex-wife. The cast consists of Connecticut professional actors playing 14 other characters that sing, dance, and are capable of the murder. Characters include Sal Manila, Father O'Flasky, Sophia I'llCastratya, Luigi the Squeegee, and Mario One Minute. The audience make up the friends and family of Franco.
Guests can wear wedding clothes or mob attire, normal or with a flair. There will be an opportunity to meet the cast and take pictures with the corpse. Dinner theaters can sell Promotional Products, such as drink glasses, that guests can take home as a souvenir.
