A fundraiser in Shelton will bring needed monies to two local organizations.
The Smile Dental Center is hosting Gobble & Give at their offices next month. Attendees will be able to enjoy delicious treats courtesy of David M. Granter Caterers. There will also be raffles, a silent auction, and live jazz.
Smile Dental is raising money on behalf of the Valley Food Bank Network, and Spooner House. The network is part of the much larger United Way, but seeks to help people in Seymour, Oxford, Derby, Ansonia, and Shelton by operating a network of local food banks in these communities. The network’s goal is to improve the quality of life of those who live and work in the region by supporting organizations and programs that make a difference.
Spooner House provides support services, shelter, and food to those in need. It devotes all its energy to helping people become self-sufficient and able to have a stable living situation. The House serves everyone with respect and dignity without regard to differing abilities, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, race, or other traits.
Gobble & Give is scheduled for November 15, from 4.30pm until 7.30pm at the dental center, 1000 Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton. There is no charge to attend, but the organizers would appreciate donations. When they plan events like this, organizers can use brochure printing to create informative pamphlets explaining the goals of the recipients.
