A major festival will take place soon in Derby, a short distance from Shelton, and will be worth the trip for residents.
The Smoke in the Valley Craft Beer and Home Brew Festival is coming up, in its Halloween Edition. The festival is a celebration of the art of making craft beer, and draws attendees from throughout the region to enjoy the beverages. Organizers of events like this can promote them by using poster printing to create fun advertising.
This year, the best festival in Connecticut will have a Home Brew Competition, as well as liquors and beers from 30 national, regional, and local distilleries and breweries. The competition this year will spotlight beers that have been brewed with candy. There will also be a costume contest, as well as an adult Trick-or-Treat event.
Monies raised at Smoke in the Valley will go to help the Seymour Cares Animal Shelter. The organization is an animal rescue and adoption shelter in Shelton, and is all-volunteer run.
Smoke in the Valley is set for October 21, from 1.00pm until 4.30pm, at Badsons Beer Company, on Roosevelt Drive in Derby. The purchase of a VIP Ticket will allow early access at 12.00pm. There are unlimited samples available, but the event is limited to those 21 years of age and above. The festival will go on regardless of the weather, and no refunds will be offered unless the festival is cancelled entirely.
