An upcoming event in Shelton will have foodies celebrating, along with anyone who enjoys live music and a chance to shop for unique items.
The annual Food Trucks on the River event is back, with live music, artisans with handmade products, activities for children, and, of course, food trucks—more than 25 will be on hand with treats of all kinds. In addition, New Belgium is bringing its mobile bar to the event, and the brewer will serve samples of its beers from a mobile truck.
A partial list of food trucks shows the variety that will be available. They include Bears Smokehouse BBQ, Dad’s Cannoli Truck, and Supreme Poutine. Not all trucks will be on site both days, so anyone interested in noshing at a particular truck should check the schedule. To make this easier for attendees, organizers of events like this often use flyer printing to create a handout listing the vendors, performances, and a schedule.
Vendors include local artisans and commercial companies, and include Leafguard, T-Mobile, Renewal by Anderson, Sweet Bond Permanent Jewelry, and Blueberry Cat Collectibles.
Live music is also a big part of the fun, and again, a wide variety of artists will perform. Bands include The Midnight Anthem, Nathaniel Hintz, Elizbeth Ashkins, and Simonie Marie.
The festival is a two-day romp taking place on Friday, May 30 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and Saturday, May 31 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm at Veteran’s Memorial Park.
