One of the most popular of all Christmas stories is coming to the Twisted Vine Restaurant in Derby, a few minutes’ drive from Shelton.
The Valley Shakespeare Festival is organizing a special event, “A CHRISTMAS CAROL – GALA of Ghosts,” a one-man interpretive performance of the Dickens novel, which will take place after a delicious holiday meal.
The evening begins when attendees check in and move to the dining room. The restaurant was formerly a bank and is reputed to be haunted. A cash bar will be available, and people are invited to enjoy a drink before dinner, which is a prix fixe meal with a holiday menu curated by the chef.
The highlight of the evening is Tom Simonetti, who will perform his one-man version of “A Christmas Carol.” Simonetti will play more than 25 roles and will present the material in the same style that Dickens used when he toured New York City and Boston.
Simonetti is the founder and executive director of the Valley Shakespeare Festival, and the dinner is a fundraiser for the theater company.
The “CHRISTMAS CAROL – GALA of Ghosts” is scheduled for December 13, from 6.30 pm until 9.30 pm, with doors opening at 6.10 pm. The Twisted Vine Restaurant is located at 285 Main Street in Derby. Young people under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. When they plan events like this, organizers may use flyer printing to create Menus for the event.Get a Free Quote for Menus
