Class president plans 40th reunion

James Orazietti, president of the Shelton High School Class of 1974, has been on several commissions and municipal boards and is a long-term resident of the town. His next move will be to organize a landmark reunion taking place next month.

Since it is a non-formal event, there are no tickets to buy, but interested classmates should contact Orazietti so he can get a head count. A cash bar will be available along with restaurant food and pizza for purchase.

If possible, Orazietti wants to have a tour of the old Shelton High School building, which is now the newly renovated Perry Hill School and serves the local fifth and six grade students. Shelton High School moved to Meadow Street right after the class graduated in 1974. His class was the last to have their entire high school career at the old location on Perry Hill Road.

Orazietti is interested in obtaining contact information for classmates to help set up the reunion. Anyone with information on class members who have passed on are also urged to contact Orazietti.

A company that offers flyer printing could make items for the event. He is planning his 40th high school reunion for November 28 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The event will be at Verace Pizzeria, Tavern, and Italian Eatery at 100 Center Street.
