Three concerts scheduled for Norwalk Symphony

The Norwalk Symphony has three concerts remaining in its 84th season.

The musical comedy, The Music Man, will be presented by local theatre groups and student musicians. The pre-concert reception will begin at 6:00pm, and tickets for the performance will cost $25 per person. The start time and date for the show is Saturday, February 10 at 7:30pm.

On Sunday, March 17, the orchestra will present Music For All Ages - Mr. Shakespeare Comes to the Symphony. This will be a fusion of music and theater through acting, music, and comedy. It will include an interplay of Prokofiev’s and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet played by the orchestra, with famous moments from the plays performed by members of the Shakespeare on the Sound group.

Music For All Ages - Mr. Shakespeare Comes to the Symphony will take to the stage from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

The final performance for the season will be Mahler Symphony No. 3. The entire orchestra, along with a women’s choir, mezzo-soprano solo, and Fairfield Community Children’s Choir, will perform this composition, which delves into the intricacies and grandeur of nature.

Mahler Symphony No. 3 will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Tickets to each concert are available to purchase online, and all performances will take place at the Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Avenue.

The symphony’s 2024-2025 season will be announced with new brochure printing.
