Norwalk's American Chamber Orchestra has three live concerts scheduled for this year with one planned for mid-February.
The orchestra's 65 amateur musicians, under the baton of Christopher Hisey, will be playing Beethoven's Overture to Leonore #3, Samson and Delilah's Bacchanale Saint-Saens and Symphonic Metamorphosis by Hindemith. The highlight of the evening will be Schumann's Piano Concerto, Op. 54 performed by Will Duchon.
Tickets range will be $10 for students and $25 for adults.
This concert has been scheduled for Saturday, February 21st.
Vanhal's Bass Concerto will be performed by Morton Cahn and the orchestra on Saturday, April 25th.
These two concerts will take place from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Avenue.
The orchestra will hold its 16th Annual Concerto Competition 2026 on February 27th and 28th. The morning of March 1st the high school finalists will have a recital. Three winners will be chosen to receive cash prizes and perform with the orchestra on June 13th.
The competition will be held at Faust Harrison Piano Store, 3222 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, and the performance with the orchestra will be held at the Concert Hall.
Sponsorships for the orchestra are available from $60 to $350 and will come with various sizes of advertising in event programs.
Sponsors of music programming like this need to get their logos to the event organizers as soon as possible to be sure they get included in the program brochure printing.
