TAC Burger is on Westport Avenue in the same shopping plaza as the bakery and offers an elite version of the smashburger made from a custom blend of rib meat, chuck, and whole brisket.
TAC Burger is owned by husband and wife team Tim and Angela Topi. Topi said he wanted a burger restaurant that would provide a quick and delicious meal where customers would not need to sacrifice their health. He added:
“I knew there was a need for a more wholesome, high-quality burger joint which focuses on using more local and healthier ingredients. Hence, the concept for TAC Burger was born.”
Offered at TAC Burger are a number of smash burgers, served as a single, double, or triple with fries fried in tallow oil, hot dogs, onion rings, chicken sandwiches, salads, and soft ice cream. There is also a menu for kids with chicken tenders and sliders.
Topis said that all items on the menu are made from local ingredients. The hot dogs are from Hummel Brothers of New Haven, brioche buns are baked fresh at Wave Hill Breads with eggs from The Farmer’s Cow, and the bacon is from Nodine's Smokehouse in Litchfield County. The ice cream is sourced from New York’s RonnyBrook Farm.
