Norwalk prepares for Verso Fest

Music and media lovers will be heading to the 5th annual VersoFest coming to the Norwalk area for six days at the end of February and beginning of March.

VersoFest is an annual media and music festival and conference of workshops and panels. The experience will also include performances.

The Thing, a rock-and-roll four-piece band, will be giving a pre-festival concert this Friday, February 27. Locally based Fever Band will open.

The free artist reception on Wednesday, March 25 will feature works by Sean Williams (The SneakerVangelisT) and Holly Danger and her "Lighthouse" work. Two visionaries, folk rock legend Ani DiFranco and her co-author Lauren Coyle Rose, will be discussing their book The Spirit of Ani: Reflections on Spirituality, Feminism, Music, and Freedom to kick off the fest. Tickets will be $35. Storytellers at VersoFest'26 will include co-founder of the Bangles-Susanna Hoffs, and alt-rock legend David J.

Former Fugees member Wyclef Jean will be in concert on Friday, March 27. Actress Tina Gershon will be discussing her memoir book with Alisyn Camerota on March 28, and March 29 will see Relix editor Dan Budnick interview Peter Shapiro, a renowned music entrepreneur.
