The 14th Annual O'Neill's Pub and Restaurant's 5k Run/Walk will be coming to Norwalk in early June.
The event will be held to remember Annie Curtin, a six-year-old who died from a brain aneurysm back in 2010. Proceeds from the race will go to the Mid-Fairfield Community Care Center, a center for those suffering from mental health issues.
This year the course has reverted back to the traditional one which begins and finishes at the O'Neill's Pub and Restaurant going on the road through South Norwalk neighborhood.
Paper route markers used at races like this are printed weeks beforehand at local Print shops.
Pre-registration for adults running the 5k in person will be $45.90, $20.82 for kids from the ages of 11 to 18 and free for kids ages 1 to 11. Adult registration on race day will go up to $50. A virtual 5k will cost $38.96 and a virtual 1-mile Health Walk will also be $38.96. A virtual kid half mile fun run registration will be free.
Swag will include heather red T-Shirts sporting the O'Neill's Pub green logo which are guaranteed to the first 600 racers to register before June 1st, raffle tickets, and admission to the post race party.
Five sponsorships ranging from $250, $500 and $1000 to $2500 and $5000 are available.
O'Neill's 5K will take place Sunday, June 7th from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm at 93 North Main Street.
