What's Happening in Norwalk, CT…

Norwalk screams for Halloween

October will have ghoulish events for children, adults, and even dogs vin Norwalk.

Ghosts from the Civil War will be the topic of the Mansion’s Halloween Tours starting in a few days. These special Halloween tours will have guides relating stories of ghost sightings at Chancellorsville and Gettysburg. Specters will also be haunting the mansion’s first and second floors during these unique tours as volunteer reenactors provide sound effects and visuals.

Woofoween 2018 will be a pet costume parade with prizes going to the most creative, family, and individual costumes. Winners in events such as these like to take photos to local print shops for poster printing. Family-friendly activities will be available before and after the parade.

Trunk or Treat on Halloween evening will offer candy, bounce houses, arts and craft stations, and free baked goods.

Halloween Tours will run from October 19 to the 21 and again from October 26 through 28 at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum at 295 West Avenue. The first tours will begin at 5:20 pm. Preregistration is required and no tickets will be available at the site.

Woofoween will be October 28 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Compo Beach Westport. The parade will be at 11:00 am.

Trunk or Treat will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 at the Word Alive Bible Church parking lot at 536 West Avenue on October 31.
