Norwalk prepares for the holidays
The holiday season will be upon us shortly and Norwalk is getting ready.
The Wall Street Neighborhood Association and the Norwalk Boat Club will be hosting the Very Merry Holiday Fair on Saturday, November 2nd from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Many attendees can get a good start on their holiday shopping as vendors will be selling candles, jewelry, beauty products, and handmade items. Guests can enter the raffles and buy seasonal treats at the bake sale. The Holiday Fair will be at the Norwalk Boat Club at 11 Wall Street.
The Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum, 295 West Avenue, will have its annual holiday exhibit starting on Wednesday, November 20 at 1:00 pm. The exhibit will be the mansion’s traditional Victorian and 21st Century Christmas trees, displays and decorations. The open house will be from noon until 4:00 pm on December 8. That day will feature entertainment including youth chorale performances and dance.
On December 1, the American Legion Post 12, at 60 County Street, will host its Holiday Fair in the upstairs hall from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Vendors will be selling all kinds of merchandise. Santa will be on hand to talk with the little ones and there will be refreshments and food available. Guests are invited to the 6:00 pm tree lighting ceremony.
Vendors at events like these often bring business cards for attendees who want to buy more items from them at a later date.
