Norwalk makes music
Norwalk will be one of many U.S. cities participating in the International Make Music Day.
Free jams, concerts, and other events focused on music will be occurring all around Norwalk performed by artists of all ages and backgrounds.
International Make Music Day Norwalk will feature over 30 performances, including high and music school students, amateurs, and professional artists.
Mayor Harry Rilling will host the Music Day Commencement Ceremony from noon until 12:30 pm on the Town Hall Green. Jim Clark and some of his friends will be the music entertainment. Meanwhile, over at the Harbor Harvest Market, Joni Wallace will be performing.
From that time on, music venues around town will ramp up. Some examples will be Wall Street businesses featuring Sam Gironda, Gavi & Cash, a ukelele concert and class, Dandelyin and Mary Shaw during the day. In the evening, guests can enjoy Melody Manning, Smokin’ Charlie, Brian Larney and Juicy Grapes, the Moses Brothers, Spirit of Black Rock Fife and Drum Corp, and Acoustic Happy Hour in the evening. Waypointe, SONO, and Wall Street will also have performances at night. Other venues will be Calf Pasture, East Norwalk, and Route 7.
Fans of the professional performers at events such as this like to show their support by wearing promotional products, such as T-shirts sporting the artist’s logo design.
International Make Music Day Norwalk will be from 11:00 am until midnight tomorrow, June 21.
