What's Happening in Norwalk, CT…

Norwalk immersed in holiday spirit

The 7th annual Norwalk Holiday Vendor Fair is coming soon, giving locals an opportunity to purchase unique gifts for giving to loved one’s this holiday season.

The fair will once again be sponsored by the local Columbus Magnet School (CMS). Proceeds will go towards school operating costs.

This year, there will be than 30 vendors manning booths. They will be selling arts and crafts, including everything from jewelry, to cosmetics, to handbags, and other one-of-a-kind creations. There will also be baked goods for sale, including pizza, and some free samples. Attendance is expected to top 500 visitors.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring friends. They may wish to have flyers printed up ahead of time, as well, for passing out to friends and neighbors to help promote the event. Organizers promise that the fair will be an excellent opportunity for getting a head start on the holiday shopping list.

The fair will be held Thursday, December 3, in the Community Room at Norwalk City Hall, 46 Concord St., Norwalk, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Admittance and parking will be free, though vendors will be expecting payment for goods sold. Organizers are still looking for volunteers who are interested in helping support local businesses, and for those who would like to put their name forward, vendor applications and volunteer forms are available on the CMS website.
