Norwalk celebrates season with song and dance
This year, Norwalk will be ushering in the holidays with a Christmas concert and a dance musical.
Magic-A Ballroom Musical, a tale in which four forlorn people come together at a ballroom where two of them have been given free ballroom dance lessons as Christmas gifts by the two dance instructors, will get things started with an enchanted Christmas weekend.
Over original 20 songs will accompany the dancing. In-person tickets will run from $30 to $45. Virtual viewing options are also available with $35 live-stream tickets available for the evening show.
Performances of Magic will be Saturday, November 26 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Wall Street Theater, 71 Wall Street.
Norwalk Recreation and Parks Department will be sponsoring the Norwalk Community Choir as it presents its “Still is the Night” Christmas Concert featuring classic English carols, traditional holiday tunes, including the spiritual “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” and the theme song “Still is the Night.”
The 61-year-old, 60-member mixed chorus will be conducted by Director Brain Muller and the pianist will be Will Duchon.
Businesses often give donations and in-kind corporate gifts to community organizations such as this to advance their outreach programs and help the organization continue in its efforts.
Still is the Night will be performed Saturday, December 10, beginning at 7:30 pm at Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Avenue. The performance will be free.
