Chocolate event to end the month on a sweet note
Norwalk locals who love candy and maritime adventure will have a chance to indulge in both as the Chocolate Expo comes to the Norwalk’s Maritime Aquarium.
The family-oriented event promises to be a hit with people of all ages, and will provide an opportunity for family bonding.
Held annually at the aquarium, the Expo is one of the largest chocolate-focused consumer events in the country, featuring more than 40 of the region’s premier chocolatiers and other specialty food chefs. All will be offering a large variety of treats. Those who attend will be offered free chocolate samples and will also have an opportunity to buy products from various vendors. There will also be a chocolate fountain and other non-chocolate sweets to taste.
The Expo runs in conjunction with normal business operations, though the aquarium will be open two hours longer. This means visitors can also visit the aquarium’s regular main attractions, such as the seals, sharks, and sea turtles.
Those who plan to attend may want to bring their best camera for picture taking as children and sea creatures interact; such shots should make for poster printing later on.
The Expo will be held Sunday, January 31, at the Maritime Aquarium, 10 North Water Street, Norwalk. All of the chocolate activities will be included in the special admission price of $15 for adults and $10 for children.
