Art Festival coming in late June
The annual Norwalk Arts Festival will be held later this month, promising days filled with fun activities for the whole family, including music, food, arts and crafts, and lots of presentations.
The Annual Arts Festival is held both to give those in the community something fun to do on an early summer day, and to help vendors raise money.
This year, the two-day event will feature a host of vendors lined up in front of the town’s two museums, and is expected by organizers to be the premiere cultural event of the year.
The focus of the festival, as always, will be artists and their work. Attendees will be free to view work on display inside the museums.
The event will get underway with a short speech by Mayor Rilling, which will be followed by a performance given by local children attending the Talent Education Suzuki School in conjunction with a drawing contest.
Entertainment will include performances by local guitarists Annalisa Ewald and Ed Wright on the first day, and rock group Remember September on the second day. The event should provide an opportunity for exchanging digital business cards with fellow attendees.
The festival will be held, rain or shine, all day Saturday and Sunday, June 27th and 28th at Mathews Park, Norwalk. Admittance and parking will be free.
