Upcoming golf, chili cook off and cornhole tournament for Parker

Bags, Beans & Brews Cornhole Tournament and Chili Cookoff, and the Colorado National Guard Foundation 7th Annual Golf Tournament will take place in Parker in early October.

October 5th O'Brien Park will have a Bags, Beans & Brews Cornhole Tournament and Chili Cookoff created to raise funds for the Parker Hometown Christmas Parade.

Tickets are $12.51 and include chili and voting for the People's Choice awards. Bragging rights and $100 will go to best red, green and People's Choice winners.

Chili competitors will set up starting at 11:00 am. The competition and judging will run from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and winners will be announced at 3:45 pm.

Bragging rights often include pictures proving the win which are often taken to nearby Print shops for duplicates for unbelievers.

Cornhole tournament registration will begin at 11:00 am followed by the round robin beginning at noon. Double elimination playoffs will run from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and winners will be announced at 4:00 pm. Prizes will be based on 50% of entry fees.

On October 7th, The Colorado National Guard Foundation will hold its 7th Annual Golf Tournament at Black Bear Golf Course, 1140 Canterberry Parkway. It will be a four-person scramble, registration will be $135 per player and includes breakfast and lunch. Registration will begin at 8:00 am followed by a shot gun start at 9:00 am.
