Parker enjoys Celtic music

Two Celtic music groups will be coming to Parker's PACE Center in late March.

First up will be the Young Dubliners, a Celtic rock band, who will be integrating high-energy rock with traditional Irish tunes. The five-man group has two guitars, a violin, keyboard, drums, a bass guitar, and vocals by Keith Roberts and Chas Waltz.

The Young Dubliners will be at the PACE Center on Tuesday, March 19 beginning at 8:00 pm. Tickets range from $49 to $59.

Soon afte, Natalie MacMaster, a well-known Cape Breton fiddler, will be joining Donnell Leahy, Canada's most well-known Celtic fiddler, along with other top Irish, Scottish, and English Celtic musicians to present a performance tracing modern Celtic expressions back to its ancient roots.

The Celtic All-Stars are composed of multiple fiddlers, rhythm guitar, Scottish or Irish whistles and pipes, bodhran drums, vocals, and piano. This performance will also feature Natalie and Connell's daughter Mary Frances Leahy on piano and fiddle, and she usually includes a little step dancing.

Tickets will range from $74 to $79 for the Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy and the Celtic All-Stars show will take place March 24 beginning at 7:30 pm at the Parker Arts, Culture & Events Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue.

Programs for events like these usually should be printed at local printing services way in advance of the performances.
