Children here in Parker will get treated to a dinosaur experience for two shows coming in mid-April.
Dinosaur World blends family theatre, storytelling and hands-on learning with large-scale puppetry. The basic concept is a young paleontologist takes the audience on a journey to meet dinosaurs like Titus the T-Rex, Segnosaurus, Microraptor, Giraffatitan and Triceratops. The paleontologist describes the diet, habitat, behavior and some fun facts about each dinosaur.
The audience help solve problems, yells out clues and interacts with the actor. Some children actually get to get on the stage on a volunteer basis. After the show, children are invited to a meet-and-greet where they can get up close to the dinosaurs and ask questions.
Each dinosaur is full-bodied and operated by more than one puppeteer. Each puppet blinks, roars and breaths. They have been designed to look real without the frightening aspect.
This will be a wholesome, educational, child-friendly original theatrical production that is high-energy and lightly comedic. In contrast to the arena-size, action-driven, animatronics and stunts of Jurassic World Live, Dinosaur World Live is a small theatre, gentle, educational show for children ages 3 to 10 years old.
Many organisers of exhibits or events aimed at children have Print shops Print T-Shirts in small sizes for children to enjoy.
Tickets are $29. Dinosaur World Live will be performed at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue, Friday April 10th at 6:30 pm and Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 pm.
