Parker runners participate in Labor Day half marathon

Many Parker athletes will be spending their Labor Day morning competing in the Labor Day Half Marathon.

The out-and-back paved course will take runners through the park, on the Cherry Creek Trail, and back.

Registration for the Half Marathon will be $80 until race day when it will go up to $85. The 10k costs $50 now and will go up to $55 on race day. Those wishing to run the 5k will pay $36 from now to race day and $40 on the day.

Swag will include gray T-Shirts sporting the race's green and white logo, finisher medals, and food at the finish line. Other amenities include aid stations that will be fully stocked, an expo at the finish line, disposable professional chip timing tags, and free photo downloads.

Sponsorships include $250 for logos printed on event T-Shirts, or $100 each for inclusions in pre-race emails, conformation emails, ads on registration page, and on the race website. Logo Design companies can help sponsors create something eye-catching and professional for such events.

The Half Marathon will step off at 7:00 am, followed by the 10K at 7:45 am and the 5k at 8:00 am.

Race packets will be available this Sunday, August 31 from noon to 3:00 pm at Runner Roost Lone Tree, 9994 Commons Street, Suite 20 in Lone Tree, and again on race day at the race venue, which is Monday, September 1 at Salisbury Equestrian Park, 119290 N Motsenbocker Road.
