The keynote speaker at the 2019 Commencement Ceremony for Rocky Vista University (RVU) in Parker will be Scott Ellner, DO.
Dr. Ellner is a board-certified physician whose specialty is general surgery. He is on the leadership team for FullWell, Colorado Health Neighborhoods, and Centura Health Physician Group, serving as Group President for Physician Alignment at Centura Health. Also a leader in public health, he has taught annually for many years at the American College of Surgeons’ Quality and Safety Conference, authored over 20 publications, and led over 200 speaking engagements.
Dr. Ellner also looks to create a collaborative environment between hospitals, physicians, and patients so that the best patient care can be provided and has been responsible for many safety initiatives for patients.

President and CEO of RVU, Clinton E. Adams, DO, said that commencement speakers are selected who exemplify the core values and mission of the university. Dr. Ellner is an osteopathic physician and has served others with compassion, integrity, and excellence. He added that it will be a privilege that Dr. Ellner will be able to share his experiences and talk to the graduates of the university.
The commencement ceremony will take place in Denver at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House on Saturday May 18 at 5:00 pm.
