Wine and chocolate lovers may be interested to learn that the Wine and Bonbon Pairing will take place in Parker next month.
Colorado Cocoa Pod and The Wine Barrel will team up to bring the Parker community a unique tasting experience combining the elegance of fine wines with the decadence of hand-crafted bonbon chocolates. The Colorado Cocoa Pod has no brick-and-mortar location, but it can be found at pop-up markets and special events in the area. Its artisan chocolates can often take up to four days to make. The Wine Barrel is a local micro-winery and shop that makes wine on-site from imported grape juice and grape leaves.
The pairing event will be a guided tasting experience in which attendees will taste four handcrafted bonbons that pair well with four wines from The Wine Barrel. Flavor profiles for each bonbon and tasting notes for each wine will be provided so that guests can best pair them up. Tasting events like this will often include printed out materials to guide attendees through the process, and local Stationery printers can help with the creation of these.
The pairing event is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, beginning at 4:00 pm. It will take place at The Wine Barrel, which is located at 11495 South Twenty Mile Road. Event registration is $25.
