Parker school to celebrate skilled students

A school located in Parker is putting the spotlight on a group of its students with an event in late April.

The Students on Stage Talent Show is a performance program from a local high school and its theater department. The event gives the teens a chance to show off in their respective skills. Acts can perform anything, as long as it is deemed appropriate. The show is suited for all ages, so families are invited to be there to cheer on their loved ones. In between each showcase, the individuals acting as emcees will get to show off their sketch comedy chops by performing original pieces. Each edition of the talent show is truly unique, as different acts and students participate every time.

Chaparral Theatre is overseen by Mrs. Smiley-Smola and Mr. Peterson. The aim for the department is to give all performers a space where they feel safe and able to work on their skills while learning both from their teachers and each other.

Tickets are sold online via SeatYourself. The price per ticket is $7, with the option to buy as many as 20 in one transaction. School theater shows are often advertised with flyer printing. The location for the event is Chaparral High School. It is kicking off at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 25.
