Parker police honored at a school breakfast

The Southeast Christian School recently celebrated the dedicated service of Parker police officers with a breakfast that demonstrated an appreciation of their commitment.

A member of the Care Team at the school, Mari-Jo Jones, who helped to coordinate the event, originally wanted to show the school’s support of the officers by giving them a breakfast. Then, they found out that one officer had just been deployed overseas to Kuwait, so they all worked together to create care packages for that officer.

The officer, his wife, and his son were presented with close to a dozen care packages that contained magazines, crossword puzzle Books, and snacks. They were also given a donation of cash so that they could be sent overseas. The officer’s wife expressed her appreciation of all the support that the Parker police have provided in the past when he had been previously deployed.

Public information officer for the Parker police, Josh Hans, said the packages will be important for the officer when he and his unit receive them.

The recognition ceremony, attended by students and staff, and the presentation to the officer of the care packages took place in the auditorium after the breakfast.

Techniques like flyer printing is often used to create eye-catching materials to publicize such events and the special efforts of city officials.
