Cole Zanetti, DO, MPH, Co-Director of the Digital Health Track at the Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, will become the Senior Advisor for the Innovation Ecosystem of the Veteran Health Administration. This program enables innovations to be made that will benefit veterans.

Dr. Zanetti will be the first osteopathic physician to become senior advisor of the program. He will help to create the strategic direction and vision of the entire innovation program of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). He will continue to serve as Primary Care Section Chief of the Eastern Colorado Health Care System of the VA, which is a position where he serves as an on-the-ground clinician providing guidance for the system.
Commenting on the role, Dr. Zanetti said that this is tremendous opportunity and a great honor. He added his hope that this will demonstrate how osteopathic medicine can play a part in in innovative healthcare.
Dr. Zanetti helped to start the Digital Health Track at the university in 2019. This program employs technology to solve complex health issues. The preparation of students using such technology enables graduates of the program to be competent professionals in the area of digital health.
