Parker joins Bike to Work Day

Commuters in Parker are encouraged by the Way to Go Team, an offshoot of Denver Regional Council of Governments, to participate in Bike to Work Day coming near the end of June.

Supporters of Parker Bike to Work Day not only want commuters to avoid using their cars and jump on their bike to ride to work, but also to raise cycling awareness in the area, highlighting its fitness and environmental benefits.

Cyclists are also invited to stop at the Town of Parker Breakfast Station for sausages, pancakes, and coffee thanks to Flippin' Flapjacks and fresh bananas. Nutrition bars will be available to-go thanks to Natural Grocers.

Free customized T-Shirts will go to the first 250 riders. Gear such as short- and long-sleeved T-Shirts and low-profile trucker hats may be purchased on the Ace Your Ride Bike to Work Day website.

Organizations that create initiatives like this often seek Graphic Design Services from local Print shops. These can embellish the T-Shirts they distribute to the event participants.

This year's Parker Breakfast Station is located in a new spot along the Cherry Creek Trial. It will be about half a mile south of the Parker Recreation Center.

The Town of Parker Breakfast Station will be open from 6:00 am to 9:00 am on Bike to Work Day, which is Wednesday, June 25th.
