Parker doctor to head new clinic in Montana

The Board of Directors of the Billings Clinic has selected Scott Ellner as its new Chief Executive Officer. His main duty will be to provide the rural areas of Montana with the resources of the Billings market.

Based at Rocky Vista University (RVU) in Parker, Dr. Ellner is an adjunct clinical associate professor and a founding member of the University Executive Advisory Council (EAC), which advises the president of the university and identifies student opportunities including service projects, residency programs, and mentoring. Often, such colleges use printing services to make such important announcements to the community.

Dr. Ellner is also a board-certified physician whose specialty is general surgery. His career has focused on leading popular patient safety initiatives, one of which was able to significantly improve patient outcomes in the operating room. His talks are based on physician leadership, value-based healthcare delivery, and surgical quality.

The Billings Clinic is a health system that serves the states of Wyoming and Montana and the western Dakotas. Chair of the Board of the clinic, Joy Ott, said the board was impressed with the passion Dr. Ellner demonstrated for quality healthcare and the safety of the patient as well as his commitment to those who can meet such goals.

Dr. Ellner will be assuming his new position in January 2020.
