Holiday events return to OBrien Park

Both the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting and the Hometown Holiday Experience 2023 will be returning to O’Brien Park in Parker at the end of November.

About 7000 people are expected to join Mayor Jeff Toborg and the Parker Chorale in welcoming the holiday season. Traditionally, the evening includes everyone singing Silent Night, and the Town Council and mayor counting down to the lighting of the Town Tree and park.

The fun traditionally continues in the park with holiday ice sculptures, caroling by local high school choirs, and meet-and-greets with Olaf, Elsa, and Buddy from the movie Frozen. Even better, it’s likely that Santa and Mrs. Clause will pay a visit, so children may want to think about bringing along their Christmas lists.

Mayor’s Holiday Lighting will take place on Friday, November 24.

Parker’s annual Hometown Holiday Experience will be the day after, on November 25th. Christmas lights and displays will greet guests as they listen to recorded holiday favorites and visit the winter market in O’Brien Park.

The winter market will feature small businesses so many items will be original, homemade, one-of-a-kind items.

At special events like this, small business owners often get custom Christmas-themed Business Cards printed to slip in with purchases.

O’Brien Park’s Christmas festivities often feature a toy soldier, a live Christmas tree, and even Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
